At the end of 2023, Google began rolling-out to selected brands a new capability within their Google Business Profiles.

This capability allows businesses to add social media links to their Google Business Profiles.

In short, it provides more visibility for your brand.

By displaying social media links on your Google Business Profile, you’re able to provide a direct path to an expansive look at your brand, via social media.

Users will now have easier access to most of your brand’s channels and its story.

This provides another opportunity to connect potential customers with your services, in hopes of getting them engaged.

How to add social media profiles to Google Business Profiles

Your social media profiles will be clickable, appearing alongside your basic Google Business Profile that appears in Google and Maps searches.

Businesses with access to this feature are now able to add one link per social media platform; for example, one Facebook link and one Instagram link.

The following platforms are supported within this feature:

  • Facebook

  • Instagram

  • LinkedIn

  • TikTok

  • X (Formerly Twitter)

  • Pinterest

  • YouTube
